Cobble Mountain Horse Trail

Can ride in a group or private.  If you ride private, you can choose from 1 hour or 2 and a half hours.  We took the 1 hour horseback ride with Cobble Mountain Stables through the Gunstock Trails.  It was a great experience.  The horses are gentle.  You can tell the owners love them.  It’s a bit of a drive to get here.  Way down on the south side of the lake.  But midday traffic was not bad and it was good driving weather.  Once we arrived, we had our orientation and given 2 horses.  Mine was Russell.  The owner and his daughter lead us along a wonderful, easy riding trail.  The woods her are lush and green.  Great for shelter in the summer sun.  Our guide was very informative and friendly.  He told us about the area, the horses and live in the north country in general.  In the winter, he leads sleigh rides up in Jackson New Hampshire.  I highly recommend doing this.  I will do it again next year.  Don’t miss the stables.  They are inside the Gunstock Ski Resort.  On the left side of the big parking lot.
